Description
Aeonium arboreum ‘Shwarzkopf’ (cultivar) is a branched succulent with rosettes of glossy dark purple foliage. Clusters of yellow flowers will appear in summer time, cut back these stems after flowering. Plant is a gritty free draining soil. Very suitable as a pot plant.
It will happily grow in either the sun or shade. However the dark colour will be best on plants in full sun.
Hardiness: As with all Aeoniums it is frost tolerant down to about -2 celsuis and even at this, only for short periods. It is best in colder areas to simply pull out of the ground for the winter period and replant in April.
